SAMSARA

SAMSARA

Samsara is the collaboration of songwriter Paris Hampton and Timothy Bright. They were featured performers in the 1998 Lilith Fair festival and are returning in 1999 for the final year of this festival. Currently Samsara are writing and recording material for their next release while continuing to perform in the New York area.

Their first independently released CD on 60 Cycle Records was lauded as "hypnotizingly catching" (CMJ Jackpot February 1997), "infectious as the hook in each and every track" (Virtually Alternative March 1997), "fusing live drums and of the wall guitar noises to create lyrical pictures" (FMQB March 1997). The CD debuted as the 15th most added at CMJ and was feature in Spin College Radio through Premier Radio Network. The release also received generous support from several commercial stations such as KCRW in Santa Monica and WFNX & WBCN in Boston among others.

As the co-writer in Samsara, Tim was also a grammy nominated founding member in Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories, leaving the group after the "Tails" record. Other projects include Lazlo Bane, Andrew Dorff, Michal Towber, Brenda Kahn and Lisa Richards among others.
