Rachael's Women's Center is a place of hospitality and hope for women
who are homeless, providing basic necessities as well as opportunity and
community. In an atmosphere that is supportive and challenging, Rachael's
provides women with breakfast, lunch, shower and laundry facilities,
and daytime shelter. Furthermore, we provide case management, which is one-on-one
assistance for each woman, helping her to address the issues that led her to
homelessness.

The issues often include mental illness, addiction, and histories of trauma combined
with a lack of education, work experience, or support from family and friends. In
addition Rachael's provides a variety of educational and support groups designed to help women
develop basic life skills and self-confidence. We believe that when given the chance
to heal in a caring and challenging environment, women can be enabled and empowered to
bring forth their forgotten and lost potential. Thus, we maintain that all women can
evolve into more independent, self-reliant individuals who can more effectively contribute
to the communities in which they live.
