Bioré and Lilith Fair, the first all-women rock festival, join hands to support leading organizations across the nation dedicated to supporting women's issues. Conceptualized by singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan, Lilith Fair will feature a rotating roster of women artists touring across the U.S. this summer kicking off July 5th at The Gorge in Washington state.

Bioré is a new skin care brand being introduced in July. Bioré products are designed for the specific skin care needs of women 18-29. The line includes two cleansers, two oil-free moisturizers, and the revolutionary Bioré Pore Perfect Strips. Pore Perfect Strips are fabric-like strips that pull dirt, makeup and even blackheads right out of the pores located on the nose.

Beginning in July, Bioré (the official Lilith Fair Wellness sponsor) will donate five $20,000 checks to support leading women's organizations that include:

  • Rape, Abuse & Incest Network (RAINN) is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. that operates America's only national toll-free hotline for survivors of sexual assault. The hotline (800-656-HOPE) provides callers access to counseling 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the country.
  • LIFEbeat is a not-for-profit AIDS awareness and resource organization dedicated to mobilizing the celebrity talent and musical expertise of the entertainment industry as a fund-raising resource for community-based AIDS service organizations throughout the United States.
  • National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) is dedicated to alleviating the problems of eating disorders by providing services to victims and their families and to preventing eating disorders. ANAD provides counseling and information to the approximately eight million Americans who are victims of anorexia, bulimia nervosa or compulsive eating.
  • Wider Opportunities For Women (WOW) has worked nationally and in Washington for 25 years to achieve economic independence and equality of opportunity for women and girls. WOW has a solid track record of achieving advances for women in economic policies, employment practices, and employment and training programs and provides leadership to the Women's Work Task Force Network, 450 women employment and training programs in 48 states whose efforts reach more than 300,000 women each year.
  • International Rett Syndrome Association provides information and emotional support to families of children with Rett syndrome. The organization also supports and encourages medical research to determine the cause of Rett Syndrome and works to increase public awareness of this severe neurological disorder that has no known cause. The syndrome is only present in girls, affects 1 in 10,000 female births and is often not detected until the child's second year.

"We are committed to supporting women's issues and organizations on behalf of Bioré," remarks Wendy Hauteman, Marketing representative for Bioré. "This is not just a cause for Bioré, but a way of supporting issues that are important to our customers as well. We believe that by working together with the five prestigious organizations we have chosen, we can really make a difference for generations to come."

Lilith Fair also intends to make significant charitable contributions to LIFEbeat and RAINN as well as select local women's charities in each market.
