CONTEST ONE WINNERS - WHAT DOES LILITH FAIR MEAN TO YOU?

Okay so we're a couple days late, but there were just so many entries. And good ones, too. We'll post a selection from them throughout the tour. And just because the contest is over doesn't mean you should stop writing in to tell us what Lilith Fair means to you. We'll keep posting responses as long as you keep sending them.

We promised you two winners and here they are.

Our first winner is Tori Truscheit from Dallas. Tori has this to say about Lilith Fair:

I am a 14 year old girl, and in this messed-up world, there aren't a lot of people for me to look up to. Even so, whenever I'm upset, I just pop in a CD by any of these brilliant Lilith Fair artists and they calm me down, giving me guidance and letting me know that they do understand how tough it is to be female, that I can get through it and that women really do make a difference. Plus, their music absolutely rocks! These awesome women are my role models and I can't wait to hear them at the Lilith Fair.

Thanks Tori. You and a friend will receive two general admission tickets to the Lilith Fair.

And our second winner comes from Canada. Mylène Crête writes:

The Lilith Fair Festival is the voice of women. Women singing for women (and for men too!) telling women stories that touch us deep down our soul. I admit it. I have a preference for female artists because I'm a women and also because back in the past, women had a hard time getting recongnized not only in music, but also in other domains. Now is the time everybody listens to them and understands what female artists are telling us. I love music and I wish a long life to this festival. Les femmes le méritent! (Sorry for the mistakes, I'm a French Canadian.)

At least you have an excuse for your typos, Mylène. I, on the hand, have none. Mylène will soon have a Lilith Fair tshirt winging her way through Canada Post.

Thanks to everyone who wrote in with some wonderful stories and thoughts. We'll be sharing them with you each day.
