We've lost all the power to our bus. i'm now writing by a combination of screen glow, mag light, and candlelight. the only thing i can see is my screen and half my keyboard. but we still have our phone lines, so we shall try to keep going.

A word of warning - tomorrow in new york we have no phone lines, so it will be a quiet day around the website. we will try to get some stuff up later in the day once things slow down or i get home. whichever comes first.

hope you are enjoying the sonicnet webcast.

Paula Cole just played an amazing set. Since the Cardigans are not here today everyone got a few extra minutes. With hers Paula sang a song with a special guest - Sarah McLachlan. Standing ovation, not a dry eye in the house. At least not on the crew. Okay, maybe just me, but it was a very moving experience.

Sad news from Lilith. The Cardigans aren't playing today. A very close friend of their's who used to be in the band died yesterday. They needed a day to be away from everything. They should be back tomorrow at Jones Beach.

Our first day of rain! While it's a nice change, we really would like it to stop soon. The novelty has worn off. At least i got to wear my new rain jacket that i bought right before the tour and haven't seen since.

It's like that for everyone today. We're seeing alot of very crinkled goretex appearing out of the depths of people's bags. Jana has a bright orange one. i wonder if she was ever a safety patroller?

so one question that we have been getting asked quite a bit from lilith web fans is 'why isn't there more stuff on tracy chapman?' it's a good question and one we've been trying to answer for awhile now. but the honest truth is that tracy has decided that she does not want us to film her or to take pictures of her for the web site. this is her choice and her right. we gave everyone the option to particpate or not. all the other artists have chosen to particpate. everyone gets covered. we shoot live performances from each of the artists, do interviews, take pictures...everyone has been so cooperative and enthusiastic, it is such a great feeling. we would love to include tracy in our coverage because we know that she has a lot of fans out there and because she is such a great performer, but it's just not to be.

on a happier note, if you missed it on the main page, our friends from sonicnet are here today to do a webcast of the show. they will be broadcasting the mainstage live and the bstage is going out between mainstage acts and during tracy's set, which isn't being webcast (see above). we'll post their schedule shortly. but coverage starts at 4:00pm on their site.

oh ya, if you are a vegan and on the crew, skip the catering. someone doesn't get it.
