while walking around the village one day last week, i came upon brock from the hemp tent with his tools trying to fix something. "what's that you're doing?", i asked.
"this is my solar powered generator which i'm trying to rig up. it hasn't been working, so i keep working on it every day."
rather than use generator power (which the other tents use), he has wanted to harness the sun's power. he's a very environmentally conscious person who believes in using alternative energy sources. hence his interest in hemp as a fabric and material.
he was frustrated that he'd been unable to use his solar panel, but was determined that he'd have it working in the next few days. sure enough, today i was informed that his system was working. so away i went to grab some photos and congratulate him. it was purring along powering their mood setting ghetto blaster. and they were tickled pink that they were able to use it.
the sun hasn't shined every day, but if and when it does, brock and his crew are ready to take advantage of it.
