Days off become more important than you could ever imagine. In the past, working a "9-5" (we worked 10-6 and more technically at Arista) type-job five days a week with two days off on the weekend, I didn't quite appreciate time off. A normal day goes from around 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. traveling by bus after each show and getting one day off for every five days on. That one day off becomes an oasis. Another thing I never appreciated to such a degree is showering. Each morning showering becomes an event. And I mean event -- not just a small part of the day. A good shower becomes a happy event. Something else I took for granted previously.

Our hotel left a little to be desired here. However, I spent five hours at the mall. Shopping becomes retail therapy. We then went for dinner (me and three other girls in the group). We took a taxi to the Clematis district in West Palm Beach and ran into everyone else from the tour there. We then went into a bookstore and went into fitfuls of laughter over a plaque entitled "Home Is." When you live on a bus and encounter the subsequent "dramas" of living in a small space with 9 other people, a plaque talking about Home in a campy way becomes hysterical. The plaque now hangs on the bus.
