Austin, Texas

Laura, Jill and I got up early and took a taxi into Austin. We've never really done this on a show day and we didn't have much time. We just got dropped off on The Drag (a famous strip in Austin). Well we found some great shops and I bought an amazing Kate Spade organizer. I have to talk it up because I have about five organizers and this is the best one. Anyway, we went into this shop The Cadeau which is where I bought it. I think this would be a good B-girl retail store. We then found 49 cent tacos. Oh, am I not talking about the music enough? Honestly, I'm not usually near a stage so I don't hear enough of it. Of the new groups, Ebba Forsberg and Morcheeba both sound good. Okay, I'll try to pay more attention. Anyway, between the tacos from Tamale House and the Jai Chai from Mojo's, we were so happy. Jill thought this was the best meal she'd ever eaten --these 49 cent tacos. We then took a taxi back to the venue and began our days.

It was here that I was told by someone from a trend forecasting company that B-girl came up as a favorite fragrance among 14-18 year old girls. This kind of information keeps me going sometimes. As my sister said, "you're the one hauling your butt on the bus at Lilith Fair" - as opposed to my competition, whoever that might be.

That night, we watched "All About Eve" on the bus.
