 Wednesday, July 1, 1998 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Another hot, humid day. Very small crowd and venue, only 8,000 people. It was a nice change from New Mexico. There were a lot of neat photo opportunities today. The crowd managed to get Sinead O'Connor's attention at the fence right behind the mainstage. She obliged them with many autographs and several photos. The "Oakies" as they are called (and call themselves) seemed very appreciative of the Lilith presence in their city. Many of the press people seemed surprised that we stopped here at all and were very grateful. That was a nice feeling considering several people in the crew were doubtful as to the acceptance of Lilith in seemingly the middle of nowhere. Since I came from the "middle of nowhere" (Bloomington, Illinois) I was very happy that they were proven wrong. They were a good crowd and seemed anxious to hear the performances of everyone. |
