Apparently Lauryn Hill will not be joining the Lilith Fair at all this summer. Me'Shell Ndegeocello will be filling in for her. I am quite happy about that since I thought the other day was her last. I was totally unaware of her music previous to this summer. I really am starting to like it more and more everyday. I catch myself humming or singing verses, so I know I am hooked.

I can't wait for the Indigo Girls to come back because they bring a certain spirit with them that is irreplaceable.

This part of the country is very beautiful. Lots of trees and greenery. The weather was quite pleasant which in turn makes for more pleasant people to work with. I just love it when the atmosphere is friendly and groovin' along. The neat thing to watch is the interaction and connections being made among everyone who had just met since joining the tour. It's only been a few weeks but lifelong friends have been made and people are really connecting with one another.

I overheard a woman the other night telling another village person they were leaving for a few days. She said she was struck with separation anxiety and would really feel lost without everyone. The other woman just smiled and gave her a big hug. "I'll miss you too," she said. For me this is really neat to watch because I did this last summer and went through similar predicaments. The second time around isn't exactly easier but you know to prepare your emotions in advance.

It's just a crazy thing how time is different when you are in a different city everyday, with the same group of people, far away from home and the people you love. It brings people close together faster than when in you are in your own familiar environment. I'm already thinking about how hard the last night is going to be and I don't want to.
