Houston, Texas

Second day at the Woodlands, not too much different than the first in terms of weather and crowd. It was a little hotter today than yesterday. For some sick reason I'm starting to like the extreme heat. It makes me feel cozy and safe. I know that sounds strange but maybe it's also about overcoming obstacles. It does make things slower and harder, and sleepier. Everyone seemed to be dragging a little. I see some of the performers wearing all black outfits and I can't fathom what they must be going through. And, one band member today was wearing black tights and a long sleeved shirt dress! I know it was at least 102 degrees out there. I can barely keep it together in a tank top and shorts! This crowd didn't seem to be bothered by the heat, though. There was tons of enthusiasm for the Village and B stage acts (which were combined onto one stage for practical purposes). I guess they are used to it because they live here. It's great to see people having a good time despite the heat which I would be complaining about probably. Cheers to the undaunted Texans!
