 Monday, July 27, 1998 Orlando, Florida Today was a difficult day for everyone. The venue was a fairground, which means an entirely flat grassy surface with no seats. It also meant that there wasn't the usual backstage area with rooms for production, dressing rooms, and catering, therefore no air condioned space for the crew to take a break in. It seemed that everyone was kind of grumpy and tired all day from dealing with the heat. While I write this, Lisa is packing up her stuff. . . she's leaving us to go back to her job at Cybergrrl in New York. We're all bummed out that she's leaving. She had good "bus energy" like Jill says. We'll have to have a #12 bus reunion when all the New Yorkers from the bus get back after the tour. Well, it seems that a pizza and dance party has just broken out in the front of the bus...ooooooh, feel the good bus energy! Tomorrow's a day off in Biloxi, Mississippi, another place I've never been to before. We're getting day rooms, so we have to be back on the bus by 11pm. I think I will take tomorrow to decompress a bit...take it easy, call my Mom, write a few postcards, and try not to spend any money. Word is some people are going gambling. . . |
