Corporate Sponsors Share Lilith Fair's Commitment to Charity

This year Lilith Fair has once again joined with sponsors which share its commitment to entertain, benefit and contribute. The 1999 sponsors include Bioré, Chevrolet, HMV, Tower Records, Tommy Girl, Tom's of Maine and XOOM.com. Following is a brief description of each sponsor's involvement in Lilith Fair:

Bioré

Through their third annual sponsorship of Lilith Fair, Bioré will once again confirm their support of charities dedicated to serving women's needs by donating funds totaling $125,000 to five national women's organizations ($25,000 each). They include: Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN); LIFEbeat; National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD); Wider Opportunities For Women (WOW); and International Rett Syndrome Association. Bioré representatives will be on site at the Lilith Fair shows to hand out product samples.

Chevrolet

Chevrolet will display on Lilith Fair a Chevy Cavalier designed by Max Azria of BCBG. Raffle tickets to benefit Concept Cure will be available at each show; the Cavalier will be auctioned off at the conclusion of the tour.

HMV

HMV will be the official 1999 Canadian on-site Lilith Fair music retailer. As the Canadian retailer, HMV will stock of Lilith Fair artists as well as titles from many other influential female artists. HMV will also feature listening stations at which concert-goers will be able to sample various recordings. HMV will donate 10% of its on-site sales to be donated to a selected women's charity.

Tommy Hilfiger's tommy girl

As part of their participation in Lilith Fair, Tommy Hilfiger/tommy girl will make a sizeable contribution to a select womens' charity. Free product samples of Tommy Hilfiger's tommy girl cologne will be handed out on site at all Lilith Fair shows. In addition, exclusive tommy girl Spirit of Lilith Fair gift sets will be available at the tommy girl booth. Tommy girl will also host a ticket giveaway in each Lilith Fair market.

Tom's of Maine

Tom's of Maine, the leading manufacturer of natural personal care products has partnered with Lilith Fair for the Canadian dates of the 1999 tour. Tom's of Maine will assist with venue's on site recycling program, and will distribute natural toothpaste samples to concert-goers in Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto. In association with the Lilith Fair sponsorship, Tom's will make a significant contribution to several Canadian womens' organizations. This initiative is consistent with Tom's mission in the U.S., where the company annually donates 10% of pre-tax profits to charitable organizations.

Tower Records

Tower Records will again be the official on-site U.S Lilith Fair 1999 music retailer. Tower will stock CDs and videos dedicated to women in music. Not only will Tower's booth feature Lilith Fair artists, but it will also highlight many titles from other influential female artists. In addition, dozens of titles will be available to sample at Tower's on-site listening stations. Tower will donate 7.5% of its on-site sales to LIFEbeat. Also, on various Lilith Fair dates Tower Records will host signings for Lilith Fair artists.

XOOM.com

Leading direct e-commerce company XOOM.com offers consumers free high-quality services over the Web including homepage building, chat rooms, email, downloadable software, greeting cards and more. XOOM.com will host the official Lilith Fair Web Site at www.lilithfair.com, and will support the site with its free community services, including the ability to allow fans to build their own home page and establish their own Lilith Fair email address. In addition, XOOM.com is the title sponsor for the XOOM.com/Lilith Fair Acoustic Talent Search, which will be held in 16 cities across the U.S. and Canada. XOOM.com and Lilith Fair will also have an online component to the Acoustic Talent Search in which artists from anywhere in North America can participate. XOOM.com be the host of the Breast Cancer Fund's website, and will sponsor their touring endeavors.
