July 10 - The Gorge

The second day at the Gorge was twice as many people and even hotter. My new sandals were a little better but I still had to switch to my Nike's mid-day.

No press conference today so we had a little more time to get things done before show time.

The most exciting part of the day was chopping off all my hair. I had been growing it out for about seven months and it was getting fairly long. Not long enough to pull back which seemed necessary the first day. So, Barb, a friend of the production manager and coordinator cut it off for me. Luckily, she was around and happened to be a hairdresser. I might have ended up cutting it all off myself in desperation, which would have been pretty.

I also met up with some of Jocelyn's good friends and husband from Ottawa who are going to be staying in my apartment in San Francisco for a little while. Carol and Claire I've hung out with at past shows so it was sort of a reunion.

Performance wise, Sandra Bernhard was my fave of the day because she made me laugh out loud and ruin the footage I was trying to take of her. Several points to anyone who can make me laugh out loud for sure.
