Jennifer's Diary

July 11 - Portland

Portland is a very pretty city, lots of trees and hills and the weather was gorgeous. I like this venue because everything is located in close proximity to one another i.e. the main stage is right next to the village stage and b-stage, etc. It makes shooting a lot easier. Some fans up above the venue mistook me for Sarah at one point! I guess since we both have short hair and from a bird's eye view...

The crowd was huge and hard to get through at times, I had to sort of push and shove with all my camera gear which isn't very fun. It feels like you're ruining someone's experience when they're trying to watch Sixpence None the Richer. But I have to get out of there so I can move on to the next act. By the end of the day my legs hurt from walking up and down the bleachers to where our bus was parked outside the venue. At least I'm getting some kind of workout until I can start running again. This was the fourth day of the tour and we had a day off the next day which is much welcome always (that goes without saying). After showering for a second time that day (it got very hot in the afternoon) I once again trekked up the stairs to the parking where Jocelyn and bus #4 provided excellent refreshments. I enjoyed a nice cocktail along with some ambient music and lovely smelling candles. What a nice way to end the day.
