June..uh...NO! July....uh.....er....20th?

Yesterday was our first "Travel Day"!

Travel Day: A day of rest for our hardworking drivers while we kill time and wait to journey on.

Negative Aspects: We have to share hotel rooms

Positive Aspects: Everyone is at the same hotel...We all hang out because there is nothing else to do.

One group of us sat by the pool sipping margaritas and painting the crew guys' toenails while others played a brutal flesh tearing game of roller-hockey and yet even others were off to the side playing full contact hackey-sack.

List of things to do: Go to Walmart! (which to some was actually a spark for excitement) You know that saying..."the fun never stops at Walmart"

The sun began to set on the quiet town of Stockton. Everything seemed to slow down. Children were called home, the dogs were placed outside on their chains. An empty porch chair swing gently in the breeze at tumbleweed rolled by. All was quiet. Something was happening in this quaint little town...something that some of the locals may have found a little unsettling.

Could this be the end of peaceful civilization as they knew it or might it just be a fleeting moment of exhuberant chaos?

Or maybe I have it all wrong. Perhaps they had been waiting for us...perhaps their whole summer vacation revolved around waiting for the crazy haired tornado of freaky music folks....or maybe...they didn't notice us at all....or maybe we were never there...maybe I'm not really here...maybe we're all existing in someone's aquairum unaware of the "real world" of giant talking peanuts who observe our ridiculous patterns...like an antfarm. Only ants are a little more together.

Uh oh! Rumor has it a big storm is about to hit our fair here in Austin, TX. I better go help secure the fort.

It's quite exciting really.

ANd last night we all got a taste of true Texas culture....we ate at Kay Bob's!

Well off I go to participate in Lilith damage control.
