"Definately Time for a Daiquiri"

Nashville seemed like the hottest place so far. I don't know if it really was or not but the sweat factor was really happening. The night before in Atlanta, we got a new bag of swag containing some nice "Lilith Fair crew" cargo shorts. Well, in Nashville EVERYONE was wearing their new shorts. Very funny. Are we desperate for laundry to be done or something new to wear?

The Nashville area always gives a good vibe in my opinion. Very laid back, easy-going kinda people and feel. Emmy-Lou Harris showed up as well as Wynona Judd. Some of us were hoping to see Dolly Parton but it didn't happen.

The day went by slowly. Everyone seemed to be moving in slow motion from the heat. It was just impossible to be quick about anything. You can't even think fast in that kind of heat. You become very aware of the reason why the south has a reputation for being "lazy".

Since the next day was a day off it was "daquiri night" and a party on bus #9. A tradition has been set by Tim Oberthier who is the Isaac on this ship, if you know what I mean. Daquiris were sounding more and more necessary as the hot day went on, and on. A bus broke down the day before so we had five boys camping out on our bus that night. It was a nightmare cleaning off the bunks so they would have a place to sleep. It's amazing how much crap amasses in such a short time.

The end of the night finally rolled around. David Sinclair's (one of Sarah's guitarists) birthday was celebrated by many (including his son who is out with us for a week) with cake, sparkling grape juice, and old pictures of David posted up everywhere like "wanted" ads. In usual fashion Sarah smashed a peice of cake into David's face, at which point everyone started backing away from her (she's infamous for throwing cake). Wynona Judd got into the throe and smashed a peice into Sarah's face! After that simmered down it was time to head up to bus #9 for a strawberry daquiri and a little acoustic guitar provided by Freddi, our Tower friend.
