Pine Knob Diary

Two days in Detroit. I woke up here the day before yesterday and got off the bus in my shorts and t-shirt to go for a run and it was freezing! I'm not kidding. What a strange but welcome surprise to have some weather where pants and a sweatshirt are necessary.

Pine Knob is always a place where parties happen because we always do more than one day here. We had actual cause to throw a party since our security person of all three years, Shauna Tanner is leaving us. She is going to firefighter's school in Manitoba, Saskatchewan. We will miss Shauna around here for the last two weeks of the tour. Although I don't see her nearly as much as I did the past two years. She was on my bus the first year so I got to know her fairly well then.

I can't really talk about what happended at the party since I didn't go. I got to my room and had a stomach ache almost immediately upon entering. I don't know if it had to do with the white cheddar popcorn cake snacks I was eating on the way up to my room or not. I took that as cue to take the night off from libations and socializing though. Instead I paid to watch "Cruel Intentions" which was quite amusing. Apparently it was a pretty out of hand party. After the bar closed it moved to bus 12, my bus. A lot of people seemed to be hurting this morning. I was feeling very happy about my nine hours of sleep. Hah Hah!
