10:00am - Vanessa and I walked around looking for an available shower. There seem to be long waits at both facilities. Here at the Gorge, the local crew also spent the night, so we're competing with them as well as each other for showers.

11:10 - finally showered after waiting an hour in line!

11:45 - meet up with some friends from Ottawa,Ontario, and also discover that Jocelyn has cut her hair! It looks great and now I want to cut mine for sure (I've been contemplating it for several days)

12:00pm - time for lunch, or breakfast actually considering I've only had an apple so far today (outside of coffee on the bus).

1:00pm - happen to run into Barb the resident hair stylist who is friends with Cath and Paul (in production) I beg her to cut my hair and she agrees.

2:30 - talk to the fans of the day and take their pictures

2:45 - hear loud commotions coming from the game room so I go check it out. Tons of people are watching the women's world cup soccer match, it's china against the U.S.

3:00pm - start walking back up the hill and notice that Sarah is playing hacky-sac with a bunch of the local crew guys, just her and them and they're probably surprised that she's quite good.

3:35 - village stage music starts with Loni Rose and band. Time to go take some pix in the village. Sonia from Lifebeat is going to do a tour diary for us this year so we need a picture of her so everyone knows who she is.

6:30 - time for dinner with the friends from Ottawa

7:15 - walking to mainstage from catering to catch Luscious Jackson, Sheryl Crow and friends are hanging out on the grass and playing ping - pong

7:45 - Sandra Bernhard makes second stage appearance with a long, funny tale of her passionate friendship with Courtney Love

8:00pm - go to the grassy area outside catering to sit on a picnic bench, watch the sunset and write my tour diary. Lots of other people have the same idea. I watch Sarah, Ash and friends sitting on a blanket enjoying some refreshments while someone's young son plays with Guinness (paul and cath's dog) and Rex (sarah and ash's dog who happens to be a girl)

10:30pm - Sarah finally takes the stage a little bit later than usual wearing blue "elvis pants" (as she calls them) and a cowboy hat to finish the ensemble. The crowd goes crazy as usual.

11:20 - the Grand Finale and most of the performers from the day join Sarah for "put a little love in your heart" where Jill (LJ), Sheryl Crow, and Leigh Nash, among others sing parts of the tune. At the end Sandra Bernhard and one of the Murnurs girls get a little crazy with their parts, screeching wildly and flailing their arms - quite amusing.

11:30 - time to wash up and head back up that hill for the last time today. I'm ready to collapse in my bunk right away.
