10:00am - dropped off laundry for Vanessa and I at production office

11:40 - stroll around venue, outside and in to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful Portland morning

12:45 - Vanessa and I meet for lunch to discuss the day's work schedule

1:45 - attend press conference and am impressed by how well it went, the media actually stimulated some good conversation between the artists. Both Sarah M. and Bijou paid many compliments to Sheryl Crow as an inspiring perfomer at which Sheryl said "you guys are fucking great too!"

4:40 - hanging around the village taking pictures and stop by the Nettwerk tent to say hi to Adam and Rock who are always pleasant and have kind words.

4:50 - decide to duck out of the heat in the press conference tent and observe someone's cute infant getting down to Luscious Jackson.

4:55 - Last minute I get the word that Sarah will perfom with Luscious Jackson on "Lady Fingers" so I run over to the mainstage to catch it. Of course, the crowd goes crazy when Jill announces that Sarah will join.

5:03 - time to go get ready for shooting Sixpence None the Richer. It's hell getting through the crowd. People are throwing tapes at the audience (of sixpence) and some mother is spraying everyone with water. It feels great but I'm carrying equipment that I really don't want to get wet so I move forward.

5:45 - run into Vanessa on the way to catering so we go have dinner together. Vanessa laments the fact that the display of sumptuous desserts cannot be consumed by her for they are most assuredly not vegan.

7:00pm - talk to Louise (Lou) De Gagne about being crew member of the day. She agrees and I take her picture and get her info.

9:00pm - find two best friends to be fans of the day. They've been to every Lilith in Portland together and are very excited to be a part of the website.

10:30pm - second shower of the day because it was so hot out there! Plus we have a long drive and I want to be clean for it since I wont see a shower til the next day around 2:00pm in the afternoon.

11:30pm - get pulled onto bus #4 for a cocktail and some pizza accompanied by some lovely tunes.

1:00am - get back on bus 12 for the long ride to San Francisco. But hey, we get to sleep in tomorrow.
