The thing that struck me about the Toronto venue, The Opera House, was that the venue was lit by candles. Of course there were lights on the artists and throughout the club so you could see your way around, but around the bar areas and on the judges table, long white "dinner" candles were lit, giving off a Victorian-esque feeling... almost like being in a ancient enchanted building.

The winners are very talented women and include: Renann (to play Aug. 21), Diana Braithwaite (to play Aug.22), and runner up Gwyneth Baillie.

The night was emceed by Ben Welychka, a VJ from MuchMusic and the judges consisted of:
